Graduated from Ayub Medical College (Pakistan) and completed his surgical internship and residency at Ayub Teaching Hospital. He went on to become a practicing surgeon at Ayub Teaching Hospital, where he was involved with the teaching and training of nursing students, medical students, surgical interns and residents. He was also involved in several research projects and co-authored several publications. Dr. Ahmed then worked as General Surgeon / Medical Director in a United Nations rural hospital. He also worked as an emergency care physician in Saudi Arabia, and later in United Arab Emirates. Dr. Ahmed teaches biomedicine classes at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
