Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has a worldwide reputation as one of the longest continuously practiced holistic systems of medicine. Over a period of more than 2,000 years, Asian practitioners of Chinese medicine have developed detailed and effective methods of treating both common and complicated health conditions.  In its own (much shorter) history, the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) has set high standards for itself as an educational institution and as a provider of Chinese medicine services. Because AAAOM sees its own future success as being closely linked with its ability to serve community needs, it is pioneering in the area of specialty health clinics. AAAOM and its associated TCM Health Center clinics have developed four specialty clinics which provide unique services in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine for those who are interested in complementing their current medical care or exploring an alternative approach to their particular health condition.
